IF I use the big bore 83mm cylinder set up will these work?

You mean a 1200 big bore cylinders? The cylinder openings are about 4mm wider in diameter on the 1500/1600 heads. Now, un-altered 1300 heads have the smaller opening... and smaller valves than the 1500/1600 had.
