A couple of days ago I sold my 1967 BAJA and all my parts to someone that will keep it going.
I just got too old to properly maintain it and our other vehicles and the Wife and I won't be towing it behind the Van RV as it is for sale also.
I can't begin to tell you all how much I have enjoyed TheSamba and all the help I have received through the years.
You Guys and Gals are the greatest, the absolute greatest.

Marvin, It's nice of you to say goodbye instead of just disappearing without a word! Remember that VW's are best for running errands around town & get lots of attention/compliments/stories. Cool

You don't just leave the VW world. It just comes back later down the road.

VW world is like the Roach Motel: you can enter, but you can never really leave.

Well Marvin, I would say to enjoy your life no matter what, and thanks for saying Goodbye. Myself, I tried to leave VW's 10 years ago, but they wouldn't leave me. The BMW vintage car group turned out to be more than a bit self possessed, I.E. less fun, so sold that car off and bought a Thing. Happy to be back, and loads more fun. We'll keep looking for your eventual reappearance. Cool

Just because the car is gone doesn't mean YOU have to be gone too! You still have friends here! And you still have knowledge to share.

X 3 or 4 or 5. Only reason to say goodbye is if you are on your deathbed....
