I just installed this electronic ignition, what a difference, not a hickup, so smooth, i wish i had before, no more adjusting, its a day and night feel.

Congrats! It looks clean, what kit is it?

When I swapped out my points for a Petronix module years ago, I swore I'd never wrestle with points again.

I had no idea it existed, the fantastic and inexpensif mecanic i use in Cancun advised me to switch to this system.

that is the oem kit used on mexican beetles. note the vw/audi group coil

Nice setup

The one that CB sells doesn't look like it has a vacuum advance can.

any advantages other than no maintenance? If that is a vangaon distributor, how is it curved ? I will just stick with my compufire

maybe the original poster went from a mechanical only distributor, that would make a big difference with a stock carb.

Advance curve is fine. Timed @5* after/dual biscut. No more tune ups.

I just got the same set up. I was wondering how the wires going to the coil are set up. Does the brown, and green go to the - side and black to the positive?
