|
|
I picked up a pair of early hooks... then another single (on the right).
The one on the right has a little fatter hook tips & lower hook seems to sweep upward a little more than either of 'the pair'.
Is there a difference in them year to year... or do I just have a manufacturing variance?
Thx,
E

I'll check mine to see if they have differences but that seems fairly minor. I did notice on the other style of early westy coat hooks (the 2 hook) that the mount holes are different on some and I couldn't use all the ones I had on my westy. I think most are in a straight vertical line but I have at least one that is offset like the large hooks in your photos. |

Can someone please post pics of the screws used for these coat hooks?
I have some that are chrome and some that are not; wondering which are correct. _________________ WANTED:

different version of coat hook, dunno if this helps:
one original to the 55 westy is attached to the bus, compared with one from an early bay westy (loose) _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |

Screws for the coat hook look to be the same as for the ceiling trim.
Ceiling trim ones are M3.5x13
Doug, I just bought a grip of them in stainless (minimum order size was $25 ) & I will have extra... shoot me a PM if you want to get some from me. Even happened to be German. Original were probably just nice zinc plated... going by pics only.
They're number 18 here:
Here's a '59 SO-23... it still has the early fat 'bunny ears' (had to click the image to tell)
'61 SO-23... still fat:
