Curious about this as well; WW lists 2 styles of the truck bumpers. Looks like the shorter one may be close. Hard to tell in just pics though. _________________ WANTED:

I'm looking for one of these stops.
I have some jalousie window parts, cabinetry parts, and more.
I'm also looking for the gray curtain bungees or the materials to make them.

The correct 5mm grey bungee cord can be bought on Ebay. The crimps will need to be hand made using brass of some type (there are a few ways to do it). I need one of those curtain rail stops as well, never seen one come up for sale. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

|
|
Craig, srfndoc,
When I bought a full set of SO-42 new, perfectly and very specifically manufactured and re-produced curtains from Steve in Berlin (know as "Old Bus Home" here on the Samba: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=301682), he provided some of the eye-hook screws that you see pictured below.
No, naturally these are NOT original (although they are nice if you are using the latch-style silent-gliss gliders instead of sewn-in directly).
I gave them (these eye-hook stoppers) a try, and they're fine.
Sorry, but I'm not parting with my original stop ends, but I do have two of these eye-hook stoppers if you each want one of them.
I also feel/believe you can easily find a square nut and screw that is the right size and no one would be the wiser either.
...but if you both want one of these eye-hook ones, PM me an address, and so it's a trade, all I ask for a 3 to 5 unused interesting postcards that you might have laying around your house as an exchange. Good?

I am giving this away to the first person that comes over here and grabs it. It has the base with a sliding latch that I see folks asking money for in the adds. I can not ship this thing, I tried and it aint happening. If I can get a part for it in trade that's cool too, but not necessary. _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. I apologize for not having given you credit Bill, after all, it does have your name attached to it nearby. Yours was a sharper photo than I could get. Thank you post hoc for the use of it. Do you have any pictures of the little clamps that hold the long bungee to the driver's side that I could glom too?
I am looking for two of those clamps as well.

Thank you Dadacheese and srfndoc. I kludged a stop that will do until I find an original. I found enough gray bungee and a small piece of thin brass pipe in my junk pile to reproduce curtain holders. I'll take a stab at replicating the bungee holders.
