Hey All,
Looking for something a little different. I have seen some really nice beetles with BTR wide 5 buggy wheels. I think it is a tough look. Has anyone seen a beetle dropped on some method wheels, like this:
I am thinking these would look pretty sweet on a lowered beetle.
Wide 5, non bead lock, 15x4 at the front and 15x6.5 at the back - on a lowered '65 beetle. Has anyone done it yet?
Thoughts? |

I haven't seen it. That's a good thing. Be the first!
They don't have a lot of backspace so I'd say you need a 4" beam, short axles. I'd use a 165 up front and a 205 in the back. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

I have a 4" narrowed front beam, and rear swing axle lowered one click (but would like to go 2 clicks)
(1964US) type 1 beetle.
I am still not sure how the backspacing measurements work... I will need to look into this more. |

There backspace is very small because they're meant for buggies and wider track is better. They're nice wheels that are very strong and extremely light weight. But for how much they cost and they're spun in China, I would stick with BTR.
I say do it though. _________________ Wash your hands
