Did VW ever do a cast bumper guard with studs instead of threaded inserts?

That's the one!!!! Are those OEM? I have one and its half the weight of the chrome steel ones and the studs are bad. Are the studs replaceable or will it just fall apart and break if I try to unscrew them? This is the first one that I've ever seen.

I believe they are aluminum. I have a few of them, they probably stopped making them because they fall apart. I dont think they are worth much of anything, (I cant seem to give them away) do what ever you want to it Twisted Evil

I think I have some of those, Chuck. Maybe we can throw them in with your seat bases? I'll try to find them and send you photos this afternoon.

LOL......I don't need any, I just have one. Its the "odd" man out as my other 3 are the normal steel with the treaded flanges in them.

I do need a right front over-rider bar though!
