whats a good general asking price for a car that has sat outside in the rustbelt for over 10 years? i have not seen the car in person but it looks complete but i am seeing very wild numbers on cars of this era in dismal states of need. I am in contact with the owner but he isnt ready to sell yet. but also didnt say it wasnt for sale...
Assume its rotted through. |

Turn signals, head lights, wipers, horn grilles, and door handles all point to it being a '66 or '67. Any shots of the inside? Can still be a 911 or 912. Value? $6k-$40k. |

no it is buried buried under brush limbs etc. Most likely sunken into the ground. It is in a yard with several other abandoned cars and the owner has not responded but NO trespassing is posted. I would rather abide by that request until i have a confirmation. I can make out the vents and corner signals and headlights under the shrubs...
you still think min 6k? in the potential that there is no structural integrity? I live in the salt belt... |

Ahh, just saw that the picture isn't "the" car, just similar. Can you post a picture of what you can see. That will tell lots. Even a clapped out, but complete 912 is worth about $6K in today's market. However if it is a 911, almost triple that. |

im not in the position to play in the 6k rusted heap realm.. if thats the case..
i would be willing to grab it (if its complete and not structurally deteriorated into the earth) in the 1-2k range is where i would be comfortable. I believe the prices to be a bit inflated on most things these days... |

If you can get a complete, non-rusty (structurally sound) 911 or 912 you have just hit a jackpot. I sold a wood steering wheel from a 912 for $1,800. |
