That's the license light bulb holder for 1956-57 cars. 1953-55 looks like this:
Finding the correct 1953-55 lens is the hard part. Instead of it being flat, like current repo's, it has tabs which the the bulb holder slides into and locks into position. |

Crap Guess it will work though, When I find a correct one I'll switch em out. Glen you gonna hook me up with one of those glovebox handles? _________________ ITMC-El Presidente

I was able to source a copy of the original Swedish plate my car had in this picture
Does anyone have suggestions as to how to mount the plate to my now pristine, hole free decklid?
I guess we shouldn't have welded up those holes....
I'm thinking some magnetic solution since I'll probably only have them on at shows. |

If you really don't want to drill, I'd do a magnetic solution. You can get these rare earth magnets on eBay for cheap. I have some nickel sized ones that I can barely pull off my shop fridge with my hands. You can glue thin felt one one side, and JB weld them to some small "U" brackets that can get bolted to the plate. With 4 of those, there is no way that plate would fall off of there.... _________________ John Henry
