I understand that this may seem like a stupid question to some, but I want to make sure I am doing it correctly.
What is the best way to tighten up the rear axle nuts on my Swing Axle with Disk Brake conversion by myself, as I do not have reliable help.

I use a dumb helper which is a piece of angle iron about 4 feet long with a couple holes drilled in it to fit lug bolts (studs)... It is turned in a way that end is against against the ground to lock the drum/rotor from turning in direction in which I am turning/tightening it...... Then I use a torque wrench with a extension the allows me to go to the required 217 ft-lbs...

Mechanics "buddy tool", you can make or buy...

Below is home made torque wrench extension (not mine-courtesy GOOGLE images)...

Simple concept is if extension is same length as torque wrench (L) range of torque wrench is doubled, a 150 ft-lb becomes a 300ft-lb torque wrench... And wrench is set (read) at 1/2 desired torque... Example, if you are seeking 217ft-lbs, wrench is set (read) at 108.5 ft-lbs...

A "torque multiplier" is also a good device to have...

Or one of these... I picked up one similar to picture below for $10 at yard sale.... New $350...

As you can see there are several ways to get there "correctly"...
