Does anyone know the measurements of the hole in the dash for mounting the radio in my 56 Oval? Mine is a square hole approx 5 x 2 inches. The distance between the shaft holes is approx 6-7/8 inches. Is this a hack job, or the correct hole for some stock radio? Thanks as always.... Jeff

Well in the K. Ghia topic posted last it shows the shafts being 5/8" or .625" diameter which is close to .700". Some radios also required the shaft holes to be opened up.

Same K. Ghia image shows about 3/8" from shaft hole edge to the face opening edge. 3/8" is .375" or pretty close to .400".

Thanks "Eric and Barb" so much. My all day dash hack repair job done. Now just need to cut square hole. I assume this is a stock mounting for a Big M radio?
