Removing synthetic gear oil from tires??

Thanks for looking... My axle seals leaked and the gear oil has gotten onto the rear tires. I was unaware of the problem as I parked the car for a while over winter. I tried simple green and dawn dish soap, but there is still some oil residue on the tires. Any ideas???

You want a solvent, try a small amount of gas on a rag.

a pressure washer with a burner on it to heat the water???

As Glenn said, a little gas on a rag, and paint thinner works too. Wash the tire with soap and water afterwards, and maybe hit it with tire protectant as well.
