Well after sitting for 10 + years I have started to play with my 50 convert.
After years of sitting the rear wheels became stuck (pads frozen to drum)
Took about 2 hours to free the wheels so I could rooll it in to the work space.
Looking at the car over somehow it has become less rusty or by todays restoring point a easy fix.
It need both reinforment rails as They all do
The rear cargo floor is it little rusty I though maybe just replace the whole thing as it is spot weldded in and looks like a easy patch anyone have a split rear clip for parts?
the rest of the car is solid and complet just need a rear window .
I'll try to post some pics soon.
.

semaphore boxes Like many were filled in back in the day.
I have some NOS ones that came with the car, along with many other cool rare parts that are orig to the car.
When I first saw the car in was hanging from a shed ceiling, not its best view.
I had come to look at a 52 deluxe bus which I bought . When I returned a year later to look at other parts I asked abut the convert which I thought was only the shell. I was told it was complet and all the parts were in another Barn.So I climbed up a ladder to take a closer look at the body.
what I saw was a rare split trip spedo and round gas gage .oil temp in the dash covers. right then I had to have it for the asking price of 2500.
after looking at all the parts that came with it I was 95% all there.
To me it seems like a easy restore after doing three Buses.
Theres not as lot of sheet steel to a convert.

Glad you think it is an easy restore. Gives me much more hope on mine. I am not discouraging you at all, just that it is more than I could handle. Glad to know that mine is much more approachable than originally thought. Very Happy

I agree. Convertibles are very tough to restore correctly.
