Shoot! Major bummer It is exacly the kind of roadtrip that my girlfriend and are dreaming about. I just found out about it completely randomely tonight. I have conflicting dates in the beginning of July so it will be impossible for us to join, but I sure will keep my eyes open for next year.
In the mean time, I will get a membership to the Manx club and try to get in the loop.
I wish an awesome time to those lucky enough to do it. |

Having been on the ECVW '14 trip, it is worth the struggle to prepare for and make time to do it. I will be on the trip again this year and both the wife (who did not go last year) and I are excited to start.
Joining the Manx Club is good. It will give you access to advance notice of event schedules so you can plan ahead to attend one or more with the group. All buggy's are welcome, not just Manx buggy's. You not only get a really nicely done Quarterly Magazine, but discount to buggy parts sold at the Manx Store.
And also, sign up the the Manx Club website. It is free and you will be able to see daily postings of the upcoming ECVW '15 trip and other cool buggy things happening.

Thank you for rubbing it in I know I will miss something great. But I work in the music industry so summer is festival season where we make most of our income. Dates are booked 6 months to a year in advance. If it were just a matter of asking a co-worker to switch vacation weeks with me I'd do it for sure. I PM'd Vincent, I live near Montreal so it's easy to get in touch. I will try to join for another event, so far though the only on that could work for me would be Manx on the banx. Even though the last few hundred miles of ride home might be nippy in mid-october. Meh! I'm from the great white north, aren't I? Anyway, thanks a bunch for the warm welcome |

It would be great to meet you at MOTB in October. Install heated seats. They cost less than $ 100.00 and would make the last portion a little more pleasant. You may hook up with Vincent and France and caravan South with them to the event. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

Oh I will install heated seats, my GF won't ride with me at night otherwise. we froze our a$$es off last summer on chilly damp nights, riding through fog banks and whatnot. I learned the hard way that, unlike newer convertible cars, buggies have a LOT of turbulence in the passenger compartment. It is nice when it's 95 and sunny, not so much on colder nights...
I probably need to get a better top, mine will snap right off past 20 mph. Can't drive with it. I will have to research that. Also install windshield wipers. I never drive it in the rain, well I've been caught a couple times but I usually pull over to the next gas station and wait it out.
Anyway, I'll figure a lot of that stuff out once I talk to Vincent and France. |

Last chance to order your ECVW 2015 shirts. We will not be printing anymore after tomorrow's deadline. If you want one, you need to act now. Anyone's welcome to order them (even if you're not driving the ECVW). We've sold the minimum and the shirts are guaranteed to be printed.

It looks like work and family schedules this summer will prevent me from joining the convoy all the way to Big Bear, but it appears that you may be rolling through my hometown of Santa Cruz during the trip. Do you plan to take US 1 from San Francisco down to Monterey County? It is a beautiful and scenic drive, well suited for buggies and an easy trip especially on a week day. I'd love to meet up with the group for some or part of that leg of trip if it fits your agenda, and also offer up my garage and tools for any repairs or maintenance that might be needed by members of the group. Also, feel free to hit me up for any info on possible routes, destinations, restaurants, etc. in the general vicinity of the Bay Area or Central Coast. The same offer goes for those that may be making the return trip through my neck of the woods. Feel free to PM for phone numbers etc. if any of this may be a help to the ECVW community.
Here's a little preview of what awaits on the Central Coast:

Last year France recorded 122*F in Death Valley. Running 70 MPH, my oil temps topped at 210*F, Head temp at 355*F and oil pressure at 45 PSI.
France recorded 133*F in the Mojave desert when we left Big Bear and I ran the same temp's. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

Getting closer! I won't be even close to finished with my buggy but the open door policy stands when everyone gets to Alexandria, MN. If anybody needs a garage/tools/welder/place to pass the bullshit, the welcome mat is out and ready. _________________ -Ben

Looks like I missed you guys rolling through the Central Coast this week. Have a great time in SoCal, and ping me if you are near Santa Cruz on the return trip. |
