|
|
In an effort to conserve water in here in California, I am needing ideas on how I can reduce the flow of my faucet. Its factory set to 'pressure washer' mode, ready to chip paint. I am thinking of a modification like a resistor or something that can be toggled on/off, so still am able to go full blast when I want to fill a water bottle quickly. Ideas? |

If i remember right I hooked one up backwards once and when the polarity is reversed the propeller spins backwards (on the in-tank pumps) and the flow is reduced but still works fine. |

Second the Surflo, it's adjustable, swivels, and easy to turn on an of with wet hands.
You will be glad. |

Ona previous van I installed a resistor inline to slow the flow and it worked great (reduced the pressure so it wouldn't spray everywhere). Don't recall the rating, I think I just got a few at Radio Shack and experimented. _________________ - Jim

Keep in mind that with the Shurflo there is no connection to the city water line.
suited me fine, I used that outlet for a fan to help my Dometic keep cool. _________________ Gerald P

My thought was to add a tube or pinch clamp to screw down on the tube just before the faucet to reduce the flow rate.

About 2 dollars
Just clamp it down until you get the flow you want, plus you leave everything stock and unmodified which is how I like things. _________________ 86 2.4L 2WD Peloquin Westy |

There is if you add a check valve. |
How does that work? _________________ -James

Oh, I see. It's not simply an in-line check valve, but a "tee" that connects to the city water. Nifty. Thanks. _________________ -James
