Thanks! It could be a few things. Stuff still not hooked up. I gotta look into it more. Just tried to start it out of the blue. Hopefully it should be simple. I felt like I had to feather the gas. Also that squeak has me puzzled!

Congrats. There’s nothing like turning the key after a project like this and hearing it come to life for the first time. It also gives you that second wind you’ll need to finish all the detail work i.e. wire clean up, painting brackets and mounts because it was to dam cold in the winter to paint them.

New backing plates on!
Steering coupler is a go!
Steering damper.
Ignition lock cylinder and switch!
Had to put some new boots on the tie rod ends!

Some members have had problems with the drum rubbing on the new backing plates. Some have the drum lip cut down a bit and some bend the backing plates.

I had a few made, already slapped on on the back window and my kids pushcart lol Engine has been sold. Paid for my KEP adaptor!
