Spoiler alert: this car is about to be painted, but I've fallen drastically behind posting documentation of the full restoration.
Little back story:
My names Reid, I'm from Riverside, Ca
This is my second Porsche restoration. Client was extremely happy with the pan replacement I did on his first one he requested me to build another for him. I eagerly agreed/bit off more than I could chew after seeing a few photos sent via text message, and not personally inspecting the car.
It is a numbers matching 1969 912 that had been sitting in a shop for 15+ years.
Please notice that the fenders are not attached in the first photo; we'll get to this later.

Only took before photo of the driver side but they were equally as crummy.

Had to cut a ton of sheet metal(rust) away, since the client didn't anticipate on there being this much rust, I had to fabricate most of the panels as I went along, ordering them would have taken up to two weeks to receive.

This was about the time I realzied this car should have never been resurrected, there was rust behind the door strikers. Yikes.

Don't poke fun at the way the new quarter fit, I hadn't metal finished it out when I took this photo. Also, new fender wing in place, Woohoo!

A closer look at what this car was covered in, underneath the 24g galvanized steel that was riveted on, was Black Magic. Tar sold as an early auto body soloution.
