I am in the process of having my 36 rebuilt and I will be running dual 36 dellorto DRLAs. My question is where would be a good place to start on jets and vents? The motor will be stock displacement with a wolfsburg west performance cam using strait cut gears and the WW okrasa kit. I will be using speedwell manifolds to get the dellortos on there. The motor will also have AA performance h beam rods, 010 distributor, and a sebring style exhaust. It should be done within a month, so I just wanted to have the jets and vents ready to go when the motor is done.

i would guess 26 mm venturies could be a good start. If you are planning to rev over 6000 rpm perhaps 28 mm.

Is there somewhere in the states that I can get 26mm vents. Looks like the smallest size I can find is 28mm?

Try Blackline Racing in UT- http://www.blacklineracing.net/

If they took over all the Dell' parts from their purchase of the ACE shop business, maybe there are some 26's in the supply. I really don't know if 26's were ever stocked at US suppliers.

Here are a few pictures from right after the motor was installed. Still have a few things to do like get filters installed. The tall filters don't work with the vert lid so I've ordered the 1.5 inch filters.

Engine and exhaust both look very cool.

Have you run the engine yet? I heard that the exhausts are loud, but I think I'd put up with it for the fantastic looks!

Out of interest, did you consider using a push/pull linkage on the carbs for a more period look?

Finally, have you considered BBR filters? I'm using them on my dual 28PCIs and they seem to work well and look good (as the velocity stacks still dominate). http://www.bbrfilters.com/

I have run the motor. I probably have around 50 miles on it. It is definitely louder but it's not obnoxious like a stinger. I actually have the push pull linkage and I will probably try it out down the road. I agree that it will probably look better. I just want to get it dialed in first. I haven't seen the BBR filters. I will check them out.

How has your engine been over the summer. Did you fit filters in the end?

The motor has been great. I've been on three 300+ miles trips and several short trips. The only problem I have had was a condenser going out. I did get the filters on and they just fit with the vert Decklid. Here is a picture with the filters and one from a trip through the ozark mountains pulling my allstate.

Looks like you are getting good use from it! Looking good too. Still think the exhaust looks great.
