Hey, I'm new to this but I am currently restoring my bug. Right now I'm stumped at what exhaust I should run. I want a stock look exhaust. I have my eyes on this one ( http://www.cbperformance.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=3656 ) but I'm concerned if it's any good. By the way my engine is a 1600 single port. Thank you! |

I took a look at those, but it's out of my budget. More power isn't really a concern just want a good low cost stock look. Any other recommendation?Thank you |

search the classifieds for German muffler or put up a WTB. I just bought a NOS 1600 Liestritz for $80 not to long ago _________________ Rick

My original plan was to buy a low cost exhaust to have more money to but heater boxes. Would it be a better idea to go for a vintage speed exhaust and run it with j tubes? |

Just buy a stock muffler and be done with it. I really don't understand the question? You want a stock look, and you are not concerned with more power. So get a stock muffler and move on _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

If you want a stock look with money left to buy heater boxes, get a good quality stock muffler and install flare tip tail pipes. The flare tips pipes were a Dealer option for the Formula Vee Bug. Just my 2 cents. _________________ '63 OG 117 Herbie Replica
