A selfie stick!

As I scanned through the pages of your photos I changed my screen saver three times. It was almost as if every picture was better than the last. My wife and I are about ready to take a few days off from work and make a trip we do every year to the mountains of Tennesee for a car show. We always love the trip but this year we will have a little extra power for the hills with the judson added to the old 62 beetle. The picture of your car beside the stream and the talk of spring has got me excited to get back out on the road. |

I'm flattered Steven...thanks. Don't forget to take plenty of pictures on your trip...see a scenic view, put your car in front of it and click.
The Judson makes for more relaxed driving...less stick shifting. _________________ John.

Selfie Sticks are the work of the devil...no self-respecting ugly person would use one. In my day ugly people took up photography to avoid being in the picture.
Retribution is always at hand for the self-obsessed.

Really? I always thought the ugly people went into radio. Did you ever hear the expression that "He has a great face for radio"?
I agree that selfie sticks are stupid. Get someone to take your photo!
The Great Conjurer in Chief here in the US has used one so that should tell you all you need to know about them. _________________ Ghia Owner Emeritus |

Got a PM from John C (calexican) the other day saying you have to see the movie "Big Eyes" ...John saw it on the plane home from their recent European tour and as John put it, "there is a scene early in the movie that instantly reminded me of Betty." The Tim Burton movie is about the popular 1950s/60s artist Margaret Keane.
Here's a screenshot of the scene John was talking about (I watched the movie last night)...almost the exact spot where Betty was pictured painting with my '58 Ghia.
Movie screenshot...
Betty...

As an aside to the picture I took in our local town last Christmas I saw this picture on Facebook and thought it illustrates how slowly things change in these parts. The old picture is from 1932...83 years ago.
Even Barclays Banks is still there and the "Chemist" sign on the building on the far side of the square...you might need to click on the picture to enlarge it to see that clearly.

Only saw the pics today. This reminds me of my love for Britain. Timeless quality. _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly
