Is there a way to have flashing turn signals and semaphores without a trailer light converter box?

dig through this thread on page 12 and you will see how it was originally done - 2 swf flasher units, one for the semaphors, others for the turn signals.

If you can be content with standard functioning semaphores, and blinking lights in the tail light, then it is pretty straight forward. You need a set of tail lights with a 3rd circuit dedicated to turns, and 2 flasher relays. Basically you will power the relays by splicing info the power wires to the semaphores, one per side, then run a wire out of the relay to each tail light. I recently did this to a Euro bus, but had to use a trailer light converter since the tail lights only had 2 circuits. It worked just fine. Semaphores worked just like stock, but had real blinking turn signals in the tail light.
