LHD with a left hand cargo door - that is neat.
Obviously not 50s though since it's a 62-65 Double Cab
I think it has 64-65 door handles so maybe even 64-65 |
I don't see washer squirters below the windshield, so that leans toward 64. But do the outie vents mean 63? |
Nah, trucks had outie vents until they moved forward in 66
So... 1964? _________________ How to Post Photos

64 would be my guess. For some reason I thought outie vents changed in trucks, too. learn something new everyday, right? _________________ nothing |

Impossible to tell from that angle. But as Everett pointed out, it looks to have later style door handles. _________________ nothing |

That service station is in Germany. Wonder when it was taken and if any of those stations still look like that? _________________ .

I think it was the Headquaters of ARAL in Bochum, Germany.
And...it's gone. I found this picture of the same building (on topic, because there's a beetle in it..) :
The picture might be older, though.. _________________ homepage

Judging by the Chevy Impala in front of the VW, the photo was not taken before 1962. Did you notice the UFO?
Here is what that car wash looks like on Google Maps Street View as of last November.

I think it looked better with the support girders extending above the roof. |

I agree, I like the 2-tone sign better too. |
Look at the pay phone booth. I can't recall the last time I saw a both like that? Early 80's maybe? _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

It's funny that you mention that because I thought the car wash itself looked like something out of The Jetson's. (and no, I hadn't noticed the UFO!) _________________ .
