You can see the Porsche jack illustrated here

It has a down-turned peg.

There were at least two versions of this jack for Porsches - an early one with the 3-pronge foot and unpainted top and a slightly later one in use by 1953 (or earlier) that had the 12 radial lines on the foot and a painted top cap. You can see the different feet on the VW jacks from the same period in the link above.

The original finish on these jacks was not glossy - matte/satin black.
