Thanks Volksfahrer.......It has been a blast building it. Now I have a dry and secure place to work on my cars. Nothing like having your own set up.

Most garages over here in The Netherlands are about 18 foot long and 10 foot wide but I'm lucky to have a decent size garage under my house!
After my bus was done I felt it was time to remodel the garage.

Nice job! I like how you turned the old headlight into a lamp.

I wish I didn't have to store so much crap in my garage.

That lift looks kind of sketchy. How stable is it?

The lift is pretty stable, it's rated for 2 tons; that's a lot of room for a bus. It's basically built around a giant hydraulic piston and a super strong and heavy metal foot at the bottom. You just gotta be careful to balance the bus properly and, if I do remove like the engine or gearbox, I have a pair of giant axle stands to stabilize the car.. But yeah I still want a 2 post!

Thanks. It is great for a VW since your do not need to work on the middle of the car. No transmission or exhaust like a normal front engine/rwd car.

It is made by Atlas. This is where I got it from.

I'm a little embarrassed about my vw laboratory.

Here is my new laboratory, I moved from a rental with a big shop to a place with a 2 car garage. I thinks it was good for me in a way, It's forcing me to stay organized. I don't ever want to go back to the first picture! I'm also a homeowner now.
