I have a couple of bay windows that i bought a few years ago.
i started them 1-2 years ago but after that they have been still on the ground.

now i have try a few times but no luck. sometimes i can hear them ignite
but no more then a few cranks..

what i would like to do is be able to be at the back of the bus and remote start it. I bought a remote start button but to honest i realy dont know how to plug it in..
can someone please hel me out with that?

also is it any site where it tell step by step what to do/look after when trying to start an old unused bus?

Thanks for the help in advance.
/Bob

Empty old gas out of the tank. Replace all the gas lines and the fuel filter. Change the oil, Install new plugs (with correct gap), clean and regap the points, make sure all the electrical connections are good and charge battery (for good cranking). You may have to rebuild the carb too. This worked for me once and I got a 1600 DP running after 10+ years of sitting.

Ill like to start to see if i just got a decent spark
have to attach the remote starter to the starting motor and see..
what i also felt was that when i switch the key and crank the motor nothing happens. but when i release the keys .. then it can ignite
is these due to bad battery ? or something else?
i ready somewhere on a relay kit just for the starter?
can it be that since the igntion cabel is long it made power loss during the way and therefore hard to start "specially when parts are old" ?

You can run a wire directly from the + post on the battery to the #15 (+) terminal on the coil. This should give better voltage at the coil for starting. Having a fuse in the wire is a plus and remember the engine will not turn off with the key when the wire is hooked up.

Connect a wire to your starter solenoid, then to switch , should be a momentary on switch, then the other end to he positive of the battery.

A little starter fluid shot to the carburator will help just don't overdo it

If it started a few years ago it should start again. If you mess with the wires and plugs just make sure you get them back on correctly. I mixed mine up last restart of my bus and spent a few days frustrated until I got it right. It actually started with the wires wrong but ran terrible.

The remote hooks to the small spade on the back of the solenoid. Its the top one- hardest to get to.

X2 on the oil and s-plugs.

Sounds like the grease inside your key switch is messing with you. If it runs off the jumper, turn on the key and pull off the jumper see if it keeps running.

If not you need a key switch, or do a clean on the contacts.-not easy- tiny springy c clip involved.

If your just checking for spark, you already have it. You said in your first post that it wiil ignite for only a few strokes. Time to move on to getting proper fuel flow. Pull the fuel line and put in a bucket and then crank the engine to see if there is anything coming out.
