It look like you have the Black ring on the clock, but it's upside down.. That's a clean install anyway..
One more trick to bring back a luster to the plastic and vynil on the dash,, after a very good washing, use vaseline.. Rub that in slowly. let it sit about 30 minutes ( ??? ) then wipe the excess off ( heat helps ) in a few days the Vaseline soaks in, it won't be sticky or greasy,, beats the hell out of amoral...
This is what we do to bring the color back out on ATV plastic.
Ya do this during the summer and hit a dusty road, you'll have pure hell on your dash.. |

I have a couple Type III clocks and two Type II clocks. I never thought the Type III looked right.
The hard wired fuse blows a lot on these you have to re-solder a new one. _________________ "I spud therefore I yam." |

I've got a box full of clocks and speedos. I'll have to find it. I'll let you know in the next few days. _________________ "I spud therefore I yam." |

I used the "TOWD method" to install a Type 3 clock in my 75 bus. Worked great. I didn't have the black ring so I had to resort to the hose clamp method. Got the clock at a yard sale for $10. It's centered, just looks off in the photo. |
Damn. I want to use the TOWD method! damn file sharing. anyone have any type 3 clock butchery pictures? |
