About 15 years ago I bought a glove box door and lock from The Thing Shop. I have been pretty happy with it, but recently the lock fell apart and I need a new one. They no longer have the door listed on their website...anyone know what is compatible? I want to be able to lock it with a key.
Thanks!
Scott

what do you use for a Thing glove box door? The shelf is pretty huge, be great to lock some stuff up in it.

The Thing Shop has the doors back in stock. Better than before made out of aluminum.

yes, and I have my eye on it. Just wondering if the map light gets in the way of the installation ?

I have an older steel Thing Shop glove box door.
Yes, the map light does get in the way door.
I relocated my map light under the dash in front of the shifter.

As for the glove box door latch, the one that came with it fell apart very quickly. I have replaced the original door lock with a keyed "furniture grade" latch.

I use magnets to keep the door closed when it is not locked, but it is more secure when locked.
