I believe I have a 356 A hubcap. Looks exactly like a pre 65 VW hubcap but without the emblem. How can I be certain?

Look for the Lemmerz name and date stamped on the concave portion of the outer lip. Pre-1956 hubcaps may not be stamped anywhere. Baby moons were used through 1963.
