Yes, so the illustration is probably correct for 53-55 (including Single Cabs)
With 50-52 maybe having no Holes or Dimples?
Or are there still the Holes over the B-post/semaphore jacking point?

Question?
Does a barndoor single cab have the same corresponding drain holes and drain dimples? The dimples being on the side with treasure chest rocker?

My ex-'54 Single Cab has the dimples.
I don't see any drain holes but I don't have any nice direct photos of that area.

I can measure if needed but the holes on my Deluxe are not super clean looking so I don't know if they are unmolested.

They are missing from most Buses since they harden up and snap off.
what do they look like?

Example from Wolfsburg West:
http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=n200223

In the US, they sell these plugs at hardware stores too.

I don't see this part listed in my '55 Parts Book but I also don't see it in the later parts books. I know for a fact some or all post-Barndoors Buses had them in place. My '63 Bus had a few left in place when I bought it and I have seen them on numerous other 60s Buses.

Thanks!

It appears the long wall (non treasure chest) side has dimples? Am I seeing that correct?

It does sort of look that way but I am not 100% sure that side is unmodified.

Finally found one of the pics I was looking for. Everett's photo of Mark Merz' '55 standard. Has this been repaired? I can't see any dimples.

I think they got blown out on that photo.
They are there - I have some more photos of the underside.

Does anyone have a pic of the hornbecker 52 deluxe sills?
I believe it's a pristine untouched 52 right?
So should answer the question if 52s have cargo dimples or holes.

Don't really know how genuine this is with the artistic touch ups that often happened. But in the ambulance and the pickup brochures in the archives it seems 52 didn't have dimples on either side like 51s
but possibly B pillar holes?

Does anyone have an original factory barn door era service manual? Did they exist? They have very detailed pictures, at least my later one does, that shows the rockers in clear detail.

Maybe could clear this question up as best as it can be. It's almost like archeology at this point.

I have a 53/54 shop manual.
I looked through the body section and did not see any clear rocker photos.
The Body section is much smaller than the later manuals.

I'm trying to figure out rockers on a single cab... Does anyone know when drain dimples started on the treasure chest rocker and B-pillars for a truck? Specifically interested in '53 but any info would help. I know Everett posted a link to pics further up the page and I've searched a bit but can't find anything clear. Thanks.

David.

I have a NOS Barndoor Single Cab Left Hand B pillar here and that has the dimple but no drain hole.
Can send you a pic if need be.

Tony.
