I'm looking for a little advise here. I am running VW rail buggy that has mainly been a woods buggy, but is street legal. Engine wise there is a lightened flywheel and an oil cooler, other than that its basically a stock 1600. I'm planning a trip with a few buddies (also running woods rails) to Sliver Lake Dunes in Mi this summer. This will be our 1st trip out there and we have no idea what we are getting into. My questions are: Will i have enough power to get around? Should I find some used paddle tires cheap? Will the mudders i have on now just sink me? Any other advise you can think of or that i should know is greatly appreciated. Thanks

With your set up, you'll be able to drive around and have some fun.... There are some places you won't be able to go, but there will be plenty to go at on your level.

You need lotsa power to go big. Not sure about sand tires... Most people just deflate their tires and drive around.
