The 27th Annual Litchfield Bug In will be held on Sunday, June 21, Fathers Day. The camping field will open at noon this year and it is $20 per vehicle. Each person will get a wristband which will entitle you to the food at the Bug In Bash and also the car show the next day. Keep this on till Sunday when you leave the show. We have clean modern restrooms with attendants. Also hot showers available at restrooms for the campers. Restrooms will be open till 10pm on Sat and reopen Sunday morning. This year we will have full size antique tractor pulls all day till 5pm on Saturday. The Annual Bug In Bash will go on from 5pm to 6m. This is an informal social event with free food and lots of VW people enjoying themselves before the show on Sunday. I would recommend arriving by 4:30 if you are driving in and not camping. We will serve the food out of a building, so keep that wristband on. In the evening we plan on having a large ariel fireworks show at the fairgrounds starting at 9pm. This will commemorate the 20th year that the Bronc Callahan Community Fund has been envolved with me doing the VW car show.
On Sunday the local firehouse on Route 202 will have their pancake breakfast going from 7am to 11am. Always a good feed. At 6am there will be breakfast sandwiches and coffee at the fairgrounds. Vendors in at 7am, and gates for showcars open at 8am. Chuck P |

My girlfriend and I will be there in the 73 this year. First major trip for this bus in ages.
I'm looking for some rebuilt spindles for my 66 bus. I'm willing to trade cores if anyone has rebuilt ones. New spindles will go on this.

when is the last time your garage floor has seen sunlight, or produced any treasures
don't know if I will be there. looks like the fine state of Connecticut dealers and repairers div. is going to use a hole saw on my bank account.... _________________

I'll be there. Sounds like it will kinda be like the old days. Tractor pulls and fireworks. I shoot to leave town at noon, but usually get out about 2. We'll be there Saturday. Look forward to it every year. _________________ -Jim DiGennaro, Samba lurker, Disc Jockey and LiMBO freak www.LiMBObus.org

Karl, I can take 87 up to 84 in Newburgh. WE could meet up that way. To be honest I don't like the highways right after the Tappen Zee. _________________ Central Jersey Volkswagen Society - President |

Against what some people think.... I got a bunch of Scotch Cooler stuff and display items that we have been collecting for many years that I think will be coming out for the show and will be for sale. Add that to the bunch of great lit we got (and there is a lot that we have not listed yet). And yes the garage has lots of stuff that have been put away for a longgggg time.
Also yes we will have the key stuff with us and will be doing keys. New this year we now have blanks for the aftermarket locks that are now being sold.
2 weeks (plus a bit) to go |
