My workplace neighbor stopped by and dropped off a gift to my office this morning. He noticed me driving my westy and wanted to thank me for sending him some business. I was pretty stoked to find this on my desk.

Maybe I'm showing my age but.....

Overall a very nice shirt, attractive graphic and well designed.
Better than most.

My only gripe would be paying $28 to advertise MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR for them.

Leave the side of the van blank or give me my own options.
If not, offer a significant discount for advertising their company.

This is only my opinion.........

That being said...... I'd wear it! (Just not pay $28 for it)

Dave

I would generally agree with concept of a discount for what amounts to free advertising, but Mountain Hardwear makes so much great gear that I am going to buy one anyway.

It does seem like they could have used more than 2 colors on the design at that price point though.

Anyway, it could be worse. If it was made by Patagonia would probably be $40.00 instead of $28.00 Wink

x2...

I'd use a sharpie to add a black "racing stripe" right below the racing stripe...I've done it before!

I can't stop trying to figure out what all the stuff under the van is. I can make out the feet but the rest looks like an alternator belt, maybe a blown coolant line, some trans parts, maybe a piston rod and some crank case shrapnel........

Maybe I'm not in a good place right now mentally. Thoughts?

My thoughts also. The camper is being repaired while the kids are out playing.
Maybe just a power steering belt and he can wrestle it back home on the dirt roads.

A shank of rope, the designers name, Feet, a pack of smokes and beer cans?

Yet, you'll spend thousands of dollars on a vehicle that advertises the company that created it, both front and rear. Same difference... plus, you're supporting an American company that is using (I presume) an American print shop (unlike their tents, which are imported). "Mountain Hardwear" isn't even the focal point in the design, unlike this one for $40: http://www.mountainhardwear.com/mens-jagged-mtn-sh...rt#start=4 . Just sayin'. Wink

In general, a vehicle purchase choice is a source of pride, a who I am statement.
Some feel otherwise and debadge.

A shirt? They used to give away shirts with advertising, then along came the likes of NIKE and made logos "cool".
Marketing genius actually.
If I purchase a shirt with a VW vehicle image on it, I'd be fine with the VW logo on it, it's my choice of vehicle..... Who I am.

Climbing gear? Nothing to do with my VW except to provide transport to a rock.

And you are not their target customer; outdoor adventurers, climbers specifically, are, with a slight crossover into the Volkswagen world. Don't like the product, simply don't buy it.
