I was wondering , if I have the body off the pan and I install the choke cable with its nut on it into the pan/tunnel tube, can it be fed through the firewall, trunk floor and dash later when the body is on, or can it only be installed through the dash, trunk floor firewall and then panel tunnel after the body is bolted on?

Good question.

I can recall removing the body off my car with the choke in situation so my guess is yes. My original choke cable is intact so I had to have removed it from the body when I lifted the body off, leaving the choke in. My choke needed extra tlc to remove so I did it on the bare pan.

I ran a clothes line rope in the choke cable tube when I had the pan off. That way, when you put the body back on, just securely tape the choke cable end to the clothes line and PULL.
