Building my engine back up and I ordered some new pushrod tubes and the are a little longer than the old ones.
Do they compress when you tighten the heads down?
They should be the same for all stock 1600 engines right? Not type 3 specific.

Yes, they will compress. That is how they apply pressure to the seals. If you reuse puse rod tubes, just stretch them back out about 3/8".

Ok cool that's what I thought just wanted to make sure before I did it.
Entirely different setup than the type 4 that I am used to.
