Building a Manx buggy with an IRS. I got a 3 rib bus transmission with 924 cv joints. I need some advise on what kind of axles to use. I noticed the stock axles are too long. I saw some axles sold by CIP1.com that were 15 5/8 inches long. Is this the correct length? They seem kind of pricey and was wondering if there are other options. Here are some pics.

924 is basically a type 4 cv joint with 33 spline. It's not a 930 which has 28 spline.

I had the same thing in my baja bug. I just did not put the washer back on. Never had any problems and I beat mine hard! A lot of jumps. My local vw shop (back in Bremerton) agreed on the same thing I did. I had stock stubs though.
