I finally got around to wiring up the Suby gauges. Don't know about night color, might go back to just white, who knows. It's a weird feeling not driving blind, the gauges have given me piece a good comfort level. Here are some day and night shots.

Looks like Christmas in there! (blue/red/green)
FWIW, I prefer all red...more restful...

These are GlowShift-MaxTow series gauges.
I have the three down below Oil Pressure-Water Temp-Trans Temp
The one above is a volt meter and I just got my Brickwerks Pod and am moving the volt meter and adding an engine oil temp gauge.
I will post photo's when complete.
Here is what I have been running until now.

I just got my gauge pod from T3Technique/Brickwerks.
Thanks for getting this for me so quickly!
Here they are mounted up. It is a lot cleaner than the PO gauge mounted on the dash.

Sweet. I just ordered that gauge pod, last time I checked T3 was out of stock, but not now. |
It was really easy to mount up. Just pull the radio to gain access for tightening the gauge pod wing nuts.
Great fit! _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia Hightop - NAHT

Hey, Birdcage, where is your van from? That is an interesting A/C in dash blower housing. Can you share any more details on it? I've never seen one like it.

Italian ac unit, only 2 in existence that I know of. Van was imported to a dealership in Oklahoma. I'm not sure if they put it in or if it was ordered that way. It works awesome, sorry I don't have any more info for ya. I'd love to get another one. |

Those that have the T3/Brickwerks gauge pod installed, is your radio loose now? I have my radio bolted in the back
and used the ash tray hole for access to the nut. With the pod in place I don't see how to gain access to that nut and
getting it secure?
Any tips would be appreciated! |
I don't have the gauge pod but I have had three different stereos in two vans that never used the rear mounting bracket. I removed the bracket when installing the most recent head unit. The universal DIN mount at the front has been adequate. Hope that helps. _________________ - Jim

Are all gauges created equal?
I'd like to add oil pressure and boost pressure during my conversion.
Any "best" gauge makers?
I'd planning wired (not vaccum hose) gauges?
Needles (like that look best) prefered, but digital readout is ok too - if it is better.
Was going to get the T3, ashtray mounted unit, so will need the 2in (52mm) gauges.
Scanning the internet I find LOTS of options... but wonder if some makers are higher quality that others? _________________ ----------------------------------------------------
