Hi there. I got a sample from Nason of the "L-31" and shot a sample piece and it's WAY to light compared to the original dove blue on my '55 SC.
Anyone have the formula for Nason L-31 Dove Blue? Need to purchase pait this week.
Thanks in advance. |

Maybe see if they can cross this? Or have some of the PPG mixed and do a spray out card. Or mix it in PPG, so a spray out, and if its good, have it scanned to be matched in Nason. Are you using Nason base coat or single stage Ful-thane?

I can try that.....Going with single stage urethane. At first we got a sample in the base clear but decided to go single. I know others here have used Nason single "L-31" but can't seem to find a formula. |

Yeah if you can find a good spot maybe 5"x5" on your SC, give it a quick buff and have it scanned. Should come out very close.
Or if you have a PPG jobber nearby, they make a very good single stage paint as well.
You might try doing a search in the gallery for a freshly painted L-31 in Nason and shoot that person a PM, see if they can get the mix from their can? |
