Rome,
I have always planed on going dove blue on my square but went of on the flint grey tangent for a few days. The plan was to paint the roof black with the flint grey. What a classy look! I quickly cam back to earth when my wife asked if I really wanted 2 type 3 so close in color. |

This is my notch that will go into paint next and it's staying all original so no changing colors on it.
The square will be my restocustom and the notch will be my stock er. |

Nothing new to report on the square's paint progress but I did just order all of my window rubber from ISP west. I purchased a TMI head linner as well. Are they hard to install in a squaare? I remember trying to put a headliner in my bug when I was a teen, all i can remember is it took all day and still looked like poop.
I also order one of there new repo tach's.
I know OG tach is way But after 2 years of trying to score one I gave up. |

I stoped in the body shop on saterday and he has all panels smoothed out he finally got all panel gaps about perfect. I have been stressing on this as I want all my gaps perfect. He will block the whole care one more time and then disassemble all panels from body to prep back side of panels and body under the panels. Once this is done he will hang all panels and paint panels and body. I know he still has a bunch of work to do befor I get my car back but at least there is progress.
I can't wait to get it back. I need a place to hang all the parts I have been collecting.
my wife likes it better when I'm in the forms and not in the classifieds. |

Ok, so I have been getting board with waiting for the square to get back from paint. That's a whole storry in it's self. I decided since I got my rubber in from ISP I would go head and get it ready. This job is not for weak fingers! Any one that has accomplished this task knows what I am talking about. For me it was the first time doing it with the C trim. I want to thank those that have posted instelation tips on the samba becouse without reading them i don't think I could have gotten it done. Thank you😊 |

I'd probably leave it, since it's part of the cars history.
I'm getting ready to do the same thing on the windows, since the roof section on my Notch has been painted. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Yeah, that's who I got mine thru too. The trim as well for both front and back, and I got the pop out kit too, but I've done them before, so I know what I'm up against.
Got my front fenders and rear trunk shot today. It was a good day to do it, since it was raining. I'll probably start digging into the left door later this week. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Have you/they bought the paint yet? I'm still pushing BC/CC since it is the easiest to spray/buff/spot repair with good results! _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts
