We found this bus sitting in a junkyard in December and brought it to this point. Here we go...after a weekend of camping.

First picture is courtesy of Truly Vintage Photography...

It has 2.0L (with dual carbs) and 6 rib transmission, new paint, new wheels/tires (195/55-15), new suspension (4" narrowed/3.25" horseshoe), all new lights/seals, including HID. We cut out all the panels new and wrapped in cloth that both my children tie-dyed themselves, new shag carpeting and newly covered z-bed/rear cushions.

Thanks, dude. Really enjoying this thing. First VW and first air-cooled and it made its maiden voyage pretty decently. It was about a 2 hour drive one way to SOWO and en route, I lost my shift coupling. Put a new one in and was just fine for the rest of the trip. The 2.0 ran like a scalded dog, too. Got up and went.

Dang that was a fast turnaround and a coolbus. I am into mine a year and a half and nowhere near what you have done. I have had to replace the bottom six inches though. Sweet bus.

Took this thing over to a show called Y U Buggin and had a pretty good time. First picture is of Mr. B next to "Clark Kent." The same guy that did my bus did the Bug as well.

Just an impromptu spot we saw and took a pic!

Also kind of excited about making cover of Kombi Life magazine!

I like it... except for the carpet on the door panels!

Wheel color choice works with the Bus.

Thanks for the compliments, dude. The carpet on the door panels? Are you referring to kick panels?

A couple of things added over the past couple of weeks. Aside from beefing up the heating in the bus, I put on a side step (young son loves it loves using it and then I picked up the 3rd brake (STOP) light.
