Just got the new back shocks from the TTS Got the good gas shocks!
but with the spacers on both sides, it hit's the rear arm? also with the
pan up on the stand, It is a little short! may be 3/4"? is there some thing
I am missing? I thought the shock should have a little travel left ?
Can the spacers be together? just don't look right. thanks for the help.

Sorry the shocks are the KYB gas adjust, But they are gray, just like the fronts? some of the forums say they are white? did the TTS make a mistake?
It would not be the first! Thanks for any info. on this.

I have the gr-2 as well... Let me take a look tomorrow and see how they line up... I seem to recall having to drill a new hole in my lower cups at one point, but IIRC that was for the coil overs I used to help with the saggy but(before I was able to restore the rear suspension.)

Will put eyes on it tomorrow and see..

Kyb recently changed the color of their shocks. The ones that were white are now gray but the rep told me that they are the same as before, just a different color. I find mine to be a tad short too.

It's possible with your suspension being completely unloaded(no engine/body weight) it's just sagged that much...(?). Either that or the rear arms were indexed too a
Far on re-install..(at least I think you removed them?)

Joe, Yes! that may be it! If the arms are indexed to much to the inside,
that may make them hit the arms. I will read the manual again and see
were I went wrong! As far as being short, Will the shock not pull apart,
in time? If we are using them as a limiting strap?
thanks again for the help. p.s. got some picts from the painter on Friday,
he is almost there!! cant wait Very Happy

Your tail end will drop a bit, once it's loaded... I doubt you'll be over extending the shocks then... Unless you plan on catching air..(and we All learned from the 80's movies and shows, once all four wheels leave the ground the car explodes..) Sad

Take a couple pics for reference, to show where your interference is... It may help someone else down the Internet road...

GotTa love those teaser pics from the painter! Wink

I will be checking mine this weekend, if not sooner! will let you know what
I find. Will try to get some picts also.

I believe you both are looking at completely unloaded suspensions... I wonder if that's part of the issue??

Anyone else that's done a pan-off recall having this issue??(mine was done "body-on"...

Ron and I have done many no problems it will straighten out when the body goes on the shocks need to have weight on them first. sometimes I need to wait to put the top bolt on after the body is on.

Ok I checked the rear arms and they are right on the 19-3/16th" from center
of trans to c/v flange! So I bolted the bottom of the shock, and tied the frame down, and
with a little push up with jack, it went on the top. let the jack down and it
went down to the stop! still a little close the arm, Touching it!
I am hoping to have it on the floor this weekend, Will but some weight on
it and see if it moves away a little. Thanks Again for all the help and info
as I move through this project. We will work on posting pics. this weekend.
Next I move to the motor part Very Happy
