Thanks to everyone. Seems I've sparked the posting of some good photos. Way to go Lowdown Dirty Rat, you get the two-fer award for that shot!

Hello Richard
Yes that was my first barndoor.
It was about 20 years that I bought in Lisbon
and drove over 200 km to Coimbra smoothly
I just had to put gasoline.
I owned it for more that 10 years.
I wonder where it is now.
20-083504 was its number

This one I have found here in Austria a few years ago, then sold to Germany. Later someone told me it was seen at a dealer in Netherland and later at a dealer in UK.....
The rear hatch was not factory og.

I had hoped Gerson might be involved in a rear hatch. Any possibility of an encore for the rear hatch Gerson, or is it a huge pain to reproduce?

I bet getting gas had to be fun with that bike rack on the back blocking the decklid. _________________ Ruby red 1967 beetle sedan with a 2021cc
