KN is selling yellow ones. They claim they are made in Germany.

Any updates on the production of these red lenses? Still interested in purchasing 3.

Well I cut blanks for 10 of these, boiled water and made 3 before my tongs broke and I quit. I sent one to Nancy, so I have 2 that I can ship now. I just have to make another pair of rubber tipped tongs to form these in the boiling water... but slightly over a week away from a 15 day European trip and Bad Camberg, I can't promise that I can get them done before I leave on June 9.

If you really need one now and can't wait until late June/early July, PM me and I can sell you one of the 2 I have now. Otherwise I will finish all the blanks when I am back. I won't forget, and will repost in this thread and let folks know they are avail and you can just PM me.

And I'll need Nancy to post a pic of hers when it is installed!

Just as soon as it arrives I'll get it installed. Thanks again John. I'm excited to see this piece installed.

Admittedly though I'm on the lookout for a BABL since even with a red lense, there is no way I'll trust the popes nose to keep someone from getting too close.

Sounds good, no rush here, just want to make sure and get them before I forget. I've got a laundry list of parts I need for one of my cars so sometimes I tend to forget from time to time but it can definitely wait till you return from your trip.

Got mine from John and installed it. I was surprised what a difference it made. If you know where to look you can see it light up Laughing

As usual the piece was perfect and fit with no fuss.

Hi
Does anyone know what is the correct lens for Pepe nose ? It's crystal bright as on photos above or its foggy/milk ?
Mine is foggy, but this may be because mine is very old and old plastic doesn't so good as now.

Henry: It's possible to bring some red inserts to Bad Camberg ? I hope that lot's of us will be there as well. Good point to trade and see each others.

The lens should be crystal clear with a black section towards the tip of the lens. This picture shows it - towards the bottom of the lens, but it appears to be faded. It should be gloss black.

When was the red lens used versus the yellow/orange lens used?

My NOS lens has black painted on the pebbled area but on the back side of the lens so it is on the inside. It is a flat black but since it is on the inside the outside of the lens is shiny.

I have a January 50 Standard. When I purchased this car it had the Popes Nose with all the riviting around the lens as shown in the first set of pictures. Is this one correct for my car? BTW I also have a NOS one without the riviting, it came with an orange/amber colored brake light lens.
Thank you
