Been looking through the Samba for years but never posted but finally purchased a 60 ragtop, solid only needing floors. So PO painted the OG bumpers black,so I was hitting them with the pressure washer when the paint started flaking off, it took most of the passenger side paint off. I am going to go at it again this weekend. Pretty cool driving around in a rag. I will post more pics.

Welcome, what part of the US are you from? You have the same rag top project I have on the 'list' of things to do to my bug...the front is folding up a bit - Chris Vallone has a great video on how to install the top correctly - check out his YouTube site.

Keep us posted on progress!

I'm in the Charlotte area of North Carolina. Here is more pics of the paint removal. I keep hitting it after work. Hopefully soon it should be somewhat done.

Good work, your turn signals front and rear are for a much later car not correct for 1960.

Those front turn signals actually look like 58-63 style, but missing the chrome cover!

Doors are correct as well as door lock, most definitely getting rid of that stupid mirror PO installed. Already got correct signals. Want to get paint off soon then remove body from pan. Take body to paint and body guy and I will work on pan. But not before making wifey happy, she wants a bedroom set before body goes to paint. I agreed. So I'm parts shopping and furniture shopping. Not a bad trade off Very Happy
