Ha.... got ya.. she passed with flying colors!!!!!

But, I needed to get a new gas cap... Is there any way I can re-key the cap to work with my ignition key?

If you flip it over and the center is the short flat style with the short key that fits into it then no.

If the center is the long tapered style then you can rekey it to the ignition key.

....or you could just put the old, perfectly good cap back on until next smog test. Try a new gasket on the old cap.

Yes replace the gasket, usually it is a failing gasket that is the problem.

Thanks... any recommendations on the gasket part number and who has it...

Been looking, all I can find is the cap.
