I was wondering if the turbo motors and the naturally aspirated motors have different heads on the 1.6 diesels. I know there is a mechanical, hydraulic, 11mm head studs and 12mm. just curious if I could use a naturally aspirated head on a turbo motor as I came up on a huge lot of parts to keep my jetta running

| Since you know the bolt diameter & lifter pitfalls, the head should interchange fine. The main differences between turbo & non-turbo heads is that the turbo head will have sodium filled valves & different valve seats for better longevity. I have seen the heads interchanged both ways without any issues. |
