I have a small pile of post '68 vert rain trays that I'm preparing to list in the classifieds. As I was digging them out of the shed I noticed a minor difference in the stampings. I always like to be as accurate as possible so I'm hoping to enlist your help.
Notice that the top tray in the picture has a different shaped stamping at one the outlets. I know there's a difference between 68-70 and 70-later. Can anyone confirm that the top tray is 68-70 and the other is later?
Thanks in advance! |

. While waiting for answers from people with original convertibles - the 1969 Beetle Vert deck lid and rain tray was also used on the 1970 US sedans (1600SP)the one I have looks like the top one in your picture same upper left curve and flat bottom(top when mounted) & 2 holes, with clear(whiteish) drain tubes. . |
