When I open the pop-out windows on our '63 coupe and wiggle a bit with the glass the glass slides out of the chrome strip which is held in place with the 3 plastic inserts.
How can I prevent the glass dropping out while driving with the pop-outs open?
Is there supposed to be a rubber between the glass and the chrome strip? (Not present at this moment) or other solution?

Yes, you need the rubber.

I have the rubber showing on one of your last pictures in that thread (with the 3 plastic inserts visible), but no rubber between glass and the chrome strip.
(Side opposite to the plastic inserts).
Is there supposed to be one on that side? Or do I have to "glue" the window in the chrome strip?

I dont have one in front of my right now, I can look when i get home. From memory... its a friction/interference fit. At most there is a bit of dum-dum putty along the edge that goes into the trim piece. They are left and right specific, have a slight bend to help hold in place. Are you pushing them in ALL the way? Do you have a Big blue bentley? Do you have the qtr window latch attached? Pics of issue?

Had some time to take pictures last weekend.
Windows are in the car, close perfectly, but when opened it is very easy to get the glass out of the chrome strip.

I looked at some that i have. There is some asphalt like substance on the edge that butts up in the frame, like dum-dum putty. Maybe someone in the past opened up your frame removing a window and now its a little loose.

On my T-34 Ghia, I had the same issue upon installing the 1/4 windows. What I did was use some 3M window weld to "glue" the glass to the metal strip. Worked great, and I never had an issue with it again. Cool

... i'll also have to try that.
My glass will fall out if open also. My solution was simply to never open them...

I have the car for years now and this was also for me the reason to never open them.
"Glued" them in now last week and I'm ready to test them this weekend. Very Happy
