Is this oval a correct 1955

hi fella's

too late, finally I'm doing more research on my dad's VW oval;
(he passed away last may and I never came round to the details)

supposed to be a 1955 (according to the dutch registration list)
it is TG 52 21

Agreed a 1955 car would have had a one piece oval window.

Looks to be a June-July 1949 export model. Note the glove box trim, taillight rings and (possibly) the raised license plate area, although it may be the plate itself.

These were my thoughts exactly, but then I got wondering- did any Jun/July '49 cars have the thick bezel tail lights AND dlx glovebox trim?
