Trying to put together a good collection of interior photos for reference purposes for '58s with Glacier Blue paint. One question I have is about what purports to be two different carpet colors--anthracite (black, pretty much) in the front and silver grey in the back behind the rear seat. Anyone have pictures of two different color carpets in an original car?

Here are photos I've found on here so far:

On the ones in this car, there seems to be a replacement dark grey headliner & carpet, but the rest of it looks pretty original:

What other pic's of original interiors are out there for Glacier Blue?

Nice! My 59' is fjord blue with the same interior but no carpet left in it to go off of. Did only euro models come with cloth or was it an option on any bug?

Thanks for the contribution....

Answering one of my own questions, I believe I've found proof about the silver grey carpet in the rear. This is the original rear carpet from my car (under the back window), and cutting back the binding shows a light grey wool square weave:

Bart, my 58 also had the antricite in the front and the silver grey in the rear originally. Just like the card below shows. I also have my complete original piece of square weeve carpet from the rear of my car. Although it now looks more oatmeal looking from fading out through the years than silver grey, you can still tell that it was silver grey at one time.

Thread revival.

Looking at options for my 59 Diamond grey restoration.

Would you agree Silver Grey is "grey" and anthracite is "charcoal" from the WW square weave selections?

Yes, those are the exact square weave colors I went with from ww.

I am restoring a 59 Euro Rag and have yet to order the carpet. This is the first I have heard of two different colors front to back. Any idea of why the two colors? Stale Air, would you have some better pics of your carpet in your ride?
Thanks
Bruce

No clue as to why the two different color carpets, but I think it's pretty cool.
I don't have a pic handy of the rear carpet, but here is a pic from back when I first installed my carpet.

Wow! Looks awesome! I always imagined the front carpet to be a honey brown for my L335 Capri blue car. Thanks for the pic!
