How are you guys attaching a full flow filter. I've always had stock motors in my bus without one. My exhaust won't allow one of those type of brackets that go on exhaust studs. |

If your heat riser tube is on the right or none at all, you can use the CB Maxi 2 oil filter/pump. Have cut and down angled the neck of these so they will work with heat riser tube on left or right.
Or the stock VW of Mexico one:

Sorry I didn't explain very well. I have a regular full flow filter, base and hoses. I need to mount the base that holds the filter. |

Since you've already got a base that the filter screws to.... show us a picture of whatever model it is.... or tell us the mfr/part #
Then we can all chime in & say "mount it like this/that"..... or say "Get rid of that piece of junk & buy this one, it's way better."

I have mine under the drivers rear corner, bolted to the frame. Routing the hoses is a bit of a pain.
Initially I let them hang under the exhaust pipes because I didn't have any heat sleeve to allow me to run them between the header pipes. It's begging to get snagged and ripped.
I've since routed them up though a hole in the rear tin, into the engine bay. And then down through a notch in the apron. My apron is a hammered p.o.s. so I didn't mind cutting it. This seems to have put the hoses out of harms way, and the filter is up high enough that it's protected, but not a pain to get a wrench on. HTH

I have mine located behind the drivers rear wheel too. Here is a look at how I protected the lines.
